Pathways in CAMHS

Child and Adolescent therapy offer therapeutic interventions based on a range of approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, art therapy, family therapy and child psychotherapy. The job roles under Zone A are primarily for those individuals with a degree in psychology and with some experience of Child and Young people however with new roles emerging, we now have several roles that do not require a degree, where individuals can be trained through apprenticeships. However, to progress in a career in CAMHS therapy, they is a need to have an identifiable core profession and therefore individuals with a degree are likely to gain a CBT qualification to assist with their career progression.
